Blessed be the God of heaven, who sent His Son to die for us, so that we might behold the beauty of the cross and recognize the depravity of our own hearts. When Paul wrote to the church in Corinth, one of his great concerns was that believers cast aside the pride that so easily rises within the human heart. Such pride seeks to take glory that belongs to Christ alone and turn our affections toward earthly accomplishments, desires, and pleasures. By the grace of God and through the work of His Spirit, we are called to discipline our lives and submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Give us Tender Hearts

I ran across a video from several months ago of a man with a bloody and bruised face. He was holding his side, cradling his broken ribs. Hans Hamilton had been hospitalized for the brain bleed that he sustained on an ordinary day when he stopped to help a fellow motorist on a Florida highway. Someone had crashed a car into a guardrail, and as he got closer, Hans realized that the other driver was lying on the ground. As soon as this good Samaritan stepped out of his car, the “unconscious” driver of the crashed vehicle jumped up, ran toward him, and began punching him mercilessly, blow after blow landing on his head, his face, his neck, and his sides.

OHS Blood Drives Earn First Carter BloodCare Grant

For the first time, Olney High School received a grant from Carter BloodCare. Throughout the 2025-26 school year, three blood drives were planned, gathering 125 units of blood. The third drive was, unfortunately, cancelled due to winter weather.
