The Olney Cubs Varsity basketball squad strapped up their laces tight and came to throwdown during their match-up against the Paint Creek Pirates. The Cubs came away with a dominant victory, 79-5.
The Lady Cubs season is coming along with some ups and downs but overall, this season’s Lady Cubs are a team of aggressive and gritty fighters. With new Lady Cubs Coach Rhyan Daugherty inserted, the Lady Cubs have been taught a whole new playing style. This style is made up of aggressively driving to the basket and doing more shooting overall. On defense, the Lady Cubs no longer sit back and wait for opportunities, they attack the offense at every turn and pursue the ball and increase the opportunities for a steal.
