Billy Thompson, 62, of Olney passed away peacefully at his home on August 21, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. A memorial service was held Monday, August 29, 2022 at Southside Baptist Church in Olney, with Interim Pastor Mike McKinney officiating.
James Michael “ Mike” Smith age 69 of Newcastle, Texas formerly of Olney, Texas passed away July 19th 2022 at his home in Newcastle, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday July 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Christian Hope Church located at 205 Lubbock Ave. Newcastle, Texas 76372.
Traci Renae Vorel of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 37, succumbed to cancer after a courageous battle on the Lord’s day Sunday June 19, 2022. She was the cherished daughter of Scott and Carol (Rogell) Vorel of Olney, Texas, born on July 13, 1984 in Grand Rapids.
Martha Mae Williams, age 91, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Visitation was held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment followed at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
