Eula Merle Cretsinger Bloodworth 81, of Olney passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 surrounded by the ones she loved. Merle was born on March 27, 1940 in Graham, Texas to Estus Layne “Cret” and Marie (Braddock) Cretsinger. She was a 1958 graduate of Olney High School, after high school Merle relocated to Brownfield to raise her children. After several years Merle relocated back to Olney to care for her mother. Merle was a strong passionate woman, loving mother, friend and the most amazing, kind person that one could ever know. Merle loved to cook and bake for everyone in the community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Olney. She worked several years at Olney Fuel and was a big part of their “Family”. In her younger years Merle worked for the Fuller Brush company, she also worked in the Brownfield school cafeteria and transported children to and from school. Merle spent her spare time crocheting potholders and afghans for family and community.

LaRonda Ruth Downs, at the young age of 64, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Holliday with Terry Grace of Mankins Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Holliday Cemetery. A meal will be provided for the family at the Mankins Baptist Church, following the funeral service. Visitation will be held at 6-8 PM on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas.

Luren Campbell, age 93, died April 6, 2021, in Olney, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Bobby Dean, pastor of the First Christian Church of Archer City, officiating, assisted by Joe Cullen. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
