The Olney Police Department named longtime patrol officer Autumn Thames as its new detective, taking the place of Sgt. Dustin Hudson, who moved into a reserve position with OPD earlier this month to devote more time to his family businesses.
The OHS class of 1969 held their class reunion of their 55th year of graduation on October 12th at Graham Country Club. The class began assembling at 3 p.m. for visitation and wild storytelling.
The Enterprise queried the three candidates running for State Board of Education about local issues. Democrat Morgan Kirkpatrick and Independent Jack Westbrook responded and their answers follow. Incumbent Republican Aaron Kinsey did not respond.
The Enterprise queried Texas Senate candidates on local issues, and received responses from Democrat Dale Frey. Republican Brent Hagenbuch did not respond to several emails and phone calls.
The Enterprise asked incumbent Young County Tax Assessor Christy Center and write-in challenger Kendra Trammell McClatchey to explain to voters their qualifications and plans for the Assessor’s office.
