In 2003, only 14 women were serving in the United States Senate. For two years, photographer Melina Mara documented the unprecedented roles of those 14 women, both in and out of public view. Her photographs will be on display at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas early next year.
Recently Olney Hamilton Hospital [OHH] hosted the Carter Blood Care team for a regular blood drive. Dale Lovett, OHH Board Chairman, said this is the first of five blood drives scheduled for the year. The blood collected will help cancer treatment victims, people having surgery, and many other various needs.

The community is invited to a free gospel concert at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 4, at First Baptist Church of Olney (FBCO), featuring the Fabulous Blackwood Quartet (FBQ). This group has a legendary story, and it comes through in every song. FBCO will take up a love offering for the Blackwood Quartet.
