The volleyball season is rapidly coming to an end and basketball season is right around the corner. AS the Lady Cubs battle it out in the post season, they still set aside special games to celebrate or bring awareness to certain causes. The Lady Cubs hosted the Windthorst Lady Trojans for their annual Pink Out game and the Lady Trojans showed up in plenty of pink as well. Pink Out games are hosted during October to help bring awareness to breast cancer by wearing pink shirts, socks, ribbons and numerous clothing options. By keeping breast cancer awareness at the forefront all month long it helps women to schedule those important yearly exams and to pray and give support to those battling breast cancer. The Lady Cubs fell to the Lady Trojans in 3 for the series.
The Olney Cubs faced a tough challenge Friday night in their annual Pink Out game, falling to the Hawley Bearcats 6-53.
The OHS Varsity Lady Cubs volleyball squad celebrated Senior night with one old tradition and one new tradition. The old tradition still being performed is the walking of seniors onto the court with parents and announcing their high school accomplishments.
The Olney High School Cubs captured the top spot at the District opener last weekend with a 54-0 shutout against the Texas Leadership Christian Academy Eagles.
