Hernandez is top scorer in loss to Windthorst
The Olney Cubs Boys Varsity Basketball team played Friday, Jan. 26, against Windthorst, falling short 61-44. The top Olney player was Jacob Hernandez who scored 18 points.
OHS debate team excels at Joshua meet
The OHS debate team participated in the Joshua Speech and Debate tournament on Saturday, Jan. 13, against students from the 4, 5, and 6A divisions. Morgan Simmons placed first in informative extemporaneous speaking, and Joselyn Marquez placed fifth.
Cubs compete at first powerlifting meet
The newly returning Olney High School boys’ powerlifting team traveled to Vernon Middle School Jan. 27. to compete in the Lion Invitational powerlifting competition. The team as a whole had great results.
Lady Cubs lose one, win one
Olney’s Lady Cubs basketball team lost their home game against Windthorst High School on Friday, Jan. 26, by a score of 70-14. However, four days later on Tuesday, Jan. 30, they bounced back and won their away game against Archer City High School, 33-20.
