Olney Junior High TMSCA students competed at Ponder ISD Saturday, Jan. 22. OJH Students had a great showing, and we are so proud to share their results!
On Jan. 21, the Olney Lady Cubs met up with the Archer City Ladycats for district play. The Lady Cubs put up a heck of a fight but lost to the Ladycats with the final score Lady Cubs 21, Ladycats 49. Highlights from the game include: No. 3 Ramirez hitting one from the outside in the fourth period, No.5 Carr driving to the basket for 2 points, No. 11 Paul hitting a 3-pointer, No. 12 Stroud sinking three free-throws, No. 15 Guerra drove past defenders scoring 4 points and landing three free-throws and No. 22 Bednarz making a basket and scoring one free-throw.
The Olney Cubs hosted the Archer City Wildcats Jan. 22 for the next round of district play. The Cubs fought hard but failed to keep up with the Wildcats on offense and defense and fell to the Wildcats. Final score Cubs 23, Wildcats 55.
