The Texas Department of State Health Services will be conducting an immunization clinic at the Olney Community Library on Friday, October 2nd. Influenza immunizations will be available at this clinic. This clinic will be by appointment only, no walkins will be accepted. Please call our Archer City office at 940/574-2159 to schedule an appointment. Masks are required and all clients/guardians will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon entry to the facility. The client areas will be disinfected between each client/family.

Travis Edwards was born in 1907 and was raised by a single mother during the Great Depression. His mother’s conservative rearing taught him how to live modestly. He resided in Olney all his life, only departing to serve in the military and attend college at Simmons University, now known as Harden-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.

The Olney Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary met Wed. Sept. 8 in the Hamilton Hospital Education Building. President Phyllis Whitsitt called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. The meeting began with the prayer for hospital auxiliaries. In attendance: Pat Kelly, Juanisha Heidelburg, Susanne Nier, Margie Snyder, Ellen Hardin, Phyllis Whitsitt, Carla Perry, Judi Winslow, Bobby Wright, Ann Lundy, Gail and Walter Spears.
