Our beloved Kathrine Atchley celebrated her 99th birthday Oct. 21 with her children and grandchildren—most of whom returned to Olney for the special occasion. Everyone who knows Mrs. Atchley is aware of her love for Olney Hamilton Hospital, founded by her father George B. Hamilton in 1927.
Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz, and their team are excited to return to Texas! They plan to film episodes of the hit series American Pickers throughout the area in November.
I remain in awe of the Angelic photos that artist Max Greiner shared with me. He captured Angel Orbs in the photographs he shot at the Sean Feucht Worship event at the Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden Sunday, Oct. 4. He describes the event as a sanctioned event aligned with a vision that he had more than 18 years ago.
Rep. Drew Springer is running for two offices. He is seeking to be re-elected as your state representative in the Nov. 3 primary election. Also, Springer is running against Shelley Luther to replace Senator Fallon in District 30. Gov. Abbott has set Dec. 19 as the runoff Election Day. If Rep. Springer wins the Senate seat, he will vacate his position as a state representative. Another special election will be held to fill Springer’s vacancy in the House of Representatives.
Olney Auto Tire & Truck Service opened May 8 and is located at 1106 W. Main St. in Olney, Texas. The owner, Ronnie Griffith, was born and raised in Olney. Because of his ties to the community, he is passionate about meeting the needs of the locals.
