Adelade Edgington wins full scholarship to Texas A&M
Olney High School 2023 graduate Adelade Edgington will attend Texas A&M University in Bryan-College Station on a “full ride” four-year scholarship that she won through the Terry Foundation.

Felisiano Ray Villalpando, (23 years of age): Olney, Texas, pled guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver Penalty Group 1/1-B – Four Grams or More but Less Than 200 Grams - Methamphetamine and was sentenced to twenty (20) years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institution Division (TDCJ-ID), and ordered to pay $5,000 fine and court costs.
DA tests new tactic to deter human smuggling
The District Attorney is consideringl prosecuting people smuggled into the United States illegally under Texas’ organized crime law in an effort to stem the tide of illegal immigrants coming into the state from Mexico, Assistant District Attorney Phillip Gregory said.
