Olney Chamber Meet and Greet
Feb. 25, the Olney Chamber of Commerce held its first Meet and Greet of the year. Taking place at Archer & Gunn Mercantile (located off Main Street downtown Olney) owner Reid Miller was more than happy to host the event.

Senior Carter Hinson will be attending Texas Tech in the fall after recently receiving his acceptance letter into the University. “When I received the letter, I was very relieved. Texas Tech has always been a dream school for me and I’m excited to finally get to fulfill that dream”. Carter plans on majoring in accounting come this fall. “I plan on becoming an accountant and working for a great business or maybe even be a personal accountant.”
9th Street Studios (920 9th Street, Wichita Falls TX 76301) is pleased to present work from the art collective, Nouveau Culture. This group exhibition, “State of Duality”, seeks to explore the dualities of life through the lens of culture and heritage. The members of the collective have diverse cultural backgrounds and ancestral histories. The dualities explored are: dark and light, bitter and sweet, lost and found, freedom and constraint, life and death, calm and chaos.
The Amity Club members met Thursday, March 4, at 3:15 p.m. in the Hamilton Hospital Education building located at 902 W. Hamilton Street in Olney. Mrs. Carolyn Penn and Mrs. Judy Averett hosted the meeting themed, “Fortunate for Friends.” Margie Snyder was the program leader.
Dr. R.E. Lovett had an appreciation for fine hats (maybe a fetish we might say). The Horany men of Horany’s Department Store shared that common appreciation for fine hats. Freddy Horany, being the salesman he was, would find a great hat he loved then tell Dr. R.E. about it.
