We are surrounded by people needing help with mental health problems: we see them in grocery stores, laundromats, restaurants, churches, schools, and in their homes. Mental illness and mental health play major roles in everyone’s daily functioning.

The Carter BloodCare blood drive is coming back to Olney High School on Nov. 13. It will be held in the foyer of the high school gym with the blood drive buses also parked in front of the gym for both students and the community to donate. The drive will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be run by members of the National Honors Society.

Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Joey Stewart and Bryleigh Stewart play pumpkin tic-tac-toe at the ACE Hardware Fall Fun Fest on Oct. 11.
