Epitome: “…a typical or ideal example…” I have lived in the country for so long, I wouldn’t know how to live next to close neighbors. In the past I could see my nearest neighbor’s yard light. I guess the tree branches grew thicker to the point that I can no longer see that outside light through the trees. That light was my only feeling of having a neighborhood here in the country.
On October 1st, Olney Hamilton Hospital marked a historic milestone by placing the final beam on our new facility— a time-honored tradition known as Topping Out. This symbolic moment celebrates the completion of Phase One and ushers in the life of the new building.
Remember when school did not start until after Labor Day, and was not out until the last of May? Times have changed…not only on the calendar, but on our school campuses.
My daughter thought my recent column about “Languages” should have been called “Vocabulary.”
