On March 24, Olney High School [OHS] hosted the Olney Invitational Track meet. The Cubs and Lady Cubs fought hard and walked away with many victories. The following are the highlights from the meet for OHS athletes:

This week’s Cub of the Week is Taaron Scrogum. Scrogum is 18 years old and is in the 11th grade at Olney High School. She is involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, the National FFA Organization, and she is a member of the Olney chapter of the National Honor Society. With hopes to attend Tarleton State University, Scrogum plans to major in Kinesiology after she graduates. In the future, she wants to coach. A fun fact about Scrogum is that she owns six peacocks.

On March 30, Olney Country Club hosted the District golf meet, the Olney Invitational. The Cubs and Lady Cubs battled chilly weather and high winds; both teams persevered and claimed second place overall for the tournament and will move on to the area competition. The Cubs team shot a 370 for the day, just two strokes shy of claiming first place.
