Publisher’s Points to Ponder: “Time really does fly as you age”

Can you believe that this year is coming to an end? It is hard for me to believe, but time seems to speed up as my age increases. How many times have you said and heard this? I have discovered that I’m not the only one who thinks the time is passing rapidly each year with age. Various psychologists have surmised this concept throughout the years. However, a math professor has documented that time does appear to speed up with age.

This is the first year that my husband, Chris, our two teenagers and I went Christmas décor shopping together; tree and all. I love this time of the year. The decorating, cooking, gifts and the holiday cheer. We opted for a green six foot tall Christmas tree that is flocked with artificial snow. We left the store excited to put up the tree together in our apartment.

Sawyer was almost six years old. I was brushing the still tiny, baby pearls that fill his giggling, sweet talking mouth. I brushed them every night of his life. And, just like that, one of his two front teeth basically fell out right in front of me. I was shocked.
