March for Jesus Achieves 27th Year

Olney’s downtown streets rang with music and praise Saturday morning as residents gathered for the 27th Annual March for Jesus, a tradition that has become a cornerstone of the town’s faith communi- ty.

Cubs Blank Chiefs in HOCO Showdown

The Olney Cubs gave their fans a homecoming to remember Friday night, steamrolling the Crosbyton Chiefs 33-0 for their second straight win. After a shaky start under a new head coach and offensive system, the Cubs have found their rhythm—first edging out rival Chico in a bruising 37-30 battle, then unleashing a dominant shutout that had the hometown crowd roaring with pride.

City Sorts Through Damage from Sept. 21 Super Cell

A severe storm with supercell characteristics struck Olney on Sept. 21 around 4:30 p.m., leaving a wide trail of destruction from Main Street southward and cutting power to parts of town for more than an hour. Officials are still awaiting word from the National Weather Service on whether the storm produced a tornado.
