Into the Woods Review

My review of “Into the Woods” is layered with good news and bad news. Would you like to know the bad news first? The bad news is there were only four performances (June 25-27) by the Graham Regional Theatre (GRT) actors. The good news is that the cast did a fantastic job from the opening act to the finale.

David Cox of Rhythm Path was one of the features from the Olney Community Library and Arts Center’s (OCLAC) summer programs on June 8. Rhythm Path is a hands-on interactive program that brings in West African handmade drums for participants to learn how to play. The program teaches about rhythm and how to play together with other musicians. Cox said, “the goal is for everyone to be one big band, so they are all contributing, listening and learning how to play together.” To learn more about Rhythm Path please visit their website at rhythmpath.com. Guess who came to dinner? The Edgingtons—Chad, Melissa, Adelade, Sawyer and Emerald— joined me in my home for dinner Saturday night. We sat around the table to enjoy a family-style meal that included Cajun lasagna, salad, garlic toast, homemade macaroni and cheese and baked chicken. I have said it before and I will say it again, sharing a meal is one of the most intimate things you can do with someone.

The Enterprise spoke about what kind of things were done on a daily basis at the Enterprise as well as the reasons why Ethan and Will chose to go into the field of news reporting. The class was well behaved and asked many interesting questions.
