Living in grace, blessed by mercy
Although the schedule can seem rigorous, to some there is so much more to what is done here and being done currently. Let’s start with the way we are when we get here… We come here with little hope and no faith in ourselves or anything else for that matter. What we deserve is not what we receive when we walk in the door, a waiting smile and no judgement. At first we don’t know if we can trust these people because why would strangers love us with no strings attached? We don’t even love ourselves. We are fed, given a bed and for the first time in a long time a seed of hope is planted. We sleep with no nightmares because we can sleep with both eyes closed. After our bodies start to recover from the abuse we put ourselves through, we are slowly coming back to life.
A day at H.O.M.E.
At the HOUSE OF MERCY ENTERPRISES, we start our day at 5:30 with wake-up call. Morning hygiene routine and get dressed to make it to breakfast at 6:00. Then back to your room to make sure it is tidy and can pass inspection. Out of our rooms and in devotion to start our mind on Christ, the message given by Philip, Preston or another resident as assigned.
