On May 21, Ethan Nickel and Will Sadler (editor and photojournalist for the Olney Enterprise) visited with Mrs. Blevins’ Kindergarten class. The Enterprise spoke about what kind of things were done on a daily basis at the Enterprise as well as the reasons why Ethan and Will chose to go into the field of news reporting. The class was well behaved and asked many interesting questions.

Mullins of Brazos Communications, known for their fast reliable fiber internet, said Brazos was celebrating customer appreciation day by giving out free drinks to the first 100 customers who mentioned Brazos Communications at Hometown Coffee and Tea. Hometown Coffee and Tea is located on Main Street in Olney and serves up delicious gourmet lunches along with their regular menu items of coffee and specialty drinks. On May 13, the board of directors of Virginia’s House hosted a dinner theater event to highlight the community services offered through the Childrens Advocacy Center. Guests tried their hand at solving a murder mystery – taking place at Brothers Smokehouse in Graham.
