“Don’t Date

“Don’t Date That Guy”

My firstborn child just turned 17. She’s standing on the edge of a future that will draw her out into this big world, and in so many ways, I know that she can’t wait to get started. I’m excited to see where she goes, who she meets, and what God does in her young life in the future. Chances are good that she will fall in love with someone sooner rather than later.

A big hearty “Thank You” goes to Howard Lee for entertaining us royally on the Soup-er Bowl Sunday fundraiser event! He lugged his banjo and guitar into the Center, moved the piano to a good spot for him, located a stool, and got everything plugged in before the doors opened for diners. Wow! What a great entertainer! He expertly played all three instruments, accompanying himself as he crooned song after song from years past to present, from mellow and slow to lively and fast. Outbursts of applause conveyed his audience’s appreciation for his skillful renditions of their favorite melodies. We appreciate him for volunteering to do this wonderful performance for us out of the goodness of his heart. He was definitely a huge success!
