Young County Commissioners Court met on Monday, April. 12 for their first meeting in the month. The meeting began with a COVID-19 update from Judge Bullock about COVID-19 statistics.
The results are in for the Olney ISD School Board election, which was held May 1. Jodie Wails won place 1 with 61.11% of the vote, with Dirk Barrington receiving 38.89% of the vote.
The Olney City Council results are in from the Saturday May 1 election. There were six candidates running to fill three positions.
Olney and Newcastle High School have both announced their Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the 2020-2021 school year.
The Max Greiner Art Show was held April 22 at The Hope Center in Plano. The event was hosted by Col. Allen West—President and CEO of The Hope Center.
