March 29 is National Vietnam War Veterans Day, and Phyllis Whitsitt led a team of volunteers to commemorate the Vietnam Veterans residing in Olney. The event was held at the Olney Senior Cub Center, and lunch was prepared by the Senior Cub Center Staff with help from several sponsors and private donors.

In the late 1940s, there was an old country-western song titled “Life Gets Tee-Jus, Don’t it.” Recently, I thought of that old song and looked it up on YouTube and listened to it again. The lyrics are rather depressing, and I think sometimes we find ourselves in that mode of thinking about the world around us today.
Olney Hamilton Hospital received $108,250 March 25 from Young County Commissioners to retrofit four ambulances with power lifts that can handle heavier patients.
