A New Mexico man who allegedly tried to burn down a shop and boat just outside Olney then stole the car of a good samaritan who stopped to put out the fire was in Young County Jail, facing a long list of charges in New Mexico, Young and Baylor counties.

OHS track had their district meet March 29 in Archer City.
The Olney boys golf team and individuals from the girls team competed in the district golf tournament held in Nocona April 1 and April 4, with the boy’s team winning the district title and individuals from the girls team advancing to the regional tournament.
