Members of the Pride of Olney High School Band (POOHS) ranked fifth at the Area B UIL Marching Contest on November 2. Contest was held at Ram Stadium in Mineral Wells.
The First Baptist Church of Olney kicked off the giving season last week by collecting gift boxes for Operation Christmas Child and encouraging Olneyites to play Secret Santa to residents of Grace Care Center – two of many opportunities to spread Christmas joy this season.
The Olney City Council voted unanimously on Nov. 12 to allocate $15,000 toward an Airport Layout Plan (ALP), a federally required project that will position the city to access future grants for the airport’s development.
The Olney City Council has authorized City Administrator Simon Dwyer to request Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from engineering firms to explore rehabilitating the City’s 103-yearold water treatment plant.
