The City of Olney will raise its monthly rates for commercial dumpster services beginning May 1 to cover the rising costs of waste collection and disposal, following a unanimous vote by the City Council at its April 14 meeting.
The Olney City Council on Monday began the process of relocating the Young County Precinct 3’s dirt and gravel storage piles, following a request from County Commissioner Alan Craig for a new long-term lease on two acres of city-owned land near the Olney Convenience Station.
With Easter weekend looming, the Young County-Olney Senior Cub Center’s monthly potluck game night took a small dip in attendance.
