Amity Club met Thursday, April 3 at the home of Jeanie Spivey. President Carolyn Penn called the meeting to order and the club collect was read. The roll was called and minutes read by Margie Snyder. Committee chairmen reported their business.
The Olney Economic Development Corporation has applied for a grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife to construct a fishing and boat dock at Lake Olney, OEDC Executive Director Tom Parker told the City Council at its April 14 meeting.

The Olney Economic Development Corporation (OEDC) presented conceptual drawings of its plan to is moving forward with its plan to revitalize East Main Street, beginning with conceptual drawings and budget estimates from Grossman Design | Build that were recently presented to the Olney City Council.
The Olney Police Department will soon add a camera and audio recording system outside its new station to provide a safe location for custody exchanges and similar high-conflict interactions.
