What Are Mustangs?

In military terms, a “Mustang” is someone who rises from the enlisted ranks to become an officer. It’s a rare and difficult path—one that requires grit, determination, and a willingness to do things the hard way. Retired Colonel Max H. Krupp is one such Mustang, and his story is extraordinary.

The Refuge Pulls off Five Summer Programs

This summer at The Refuge was such a joy. We hosted five different camps for two age groups, kids going into 1st-3rd grade and those heading into 4th-6th. The themes included Science Camp, Lil’ Investigators, Cooking Camp, Christmas in July, and Art Camp. Each one was a blast, but more than anything, what mattered most were the relationships that were formed.
