Construction Begins on Library Facelift

The Olney Community Library and Arts Center was first built 46 years ago, in 1979, and for 46 years there were no major renovations or construction on the library, until now. Construction will begin on Nov. 1 and will mark the start of a brand new library.
OISD Welcomes New Ag Teacher

Olney has a new agriculture teacher who is excited to be part of the community. Jimmy Maroney comes from Tom Bean ISD and earned his Bachelor of Science from East Texas State University in 1994.
Check Out FFA Silent Auction at Homecoming

The Homecoming football game is on Oct. 3, and while you’re there cheering on the Olney Cubs, you might check out the FFA silent auction. The auction will be held at the stadium at the same time as the game.
