GRAHAM – Young County commissioners announced last week that Stream Data Centers had abandoned negotiations over a tax abatement that would have provided environmental and quality-of-life protections for residents, while the City of Graham moved forward with a separate water and wastewater agreement aimed at recovering some, but not all, of those safeguards.
The Olney Recreation Association hosted a members’ day at the Olney Country Club on Saturday to celebrate members and unveil the $1.2 million in upgrades under way.
Data centers could help lower rural cooperative members’ electricity costs if developers pay for their own infrastructure and secure their own power supplies, Fort Belknap Electric Cooperative General Counsel Don Richards said.
