High school band preparing halftime show

The Pride of Olney High School marching band has begun work on its new space-themed marching performance entitled “To the Heavens” with choreography by Josh Shaw and music by Dallas Bayless. The show is composed of four parts, entitled “Looking Up”, “Antigravity”, “Among the Stars”, and “The Infinite Beyond.”
District play begins for Lady Cubs

The Olney Varsity Lady Cubs Volleyball team has been off to a rough start in district. On Saturday, Sept. 23, the Lady Cubs competed against Windthorst but lost in three sets, 25-10, 25-10, and 25-6.
Journalism class begins newpaper program

Aspiring journalists at Olney High began a second semester of covering news for The Olney Enterprise last week, with writers eligible for scholarships from the Perry Foundation if they complete their journalism class.
