The Newcastle Ladycats went undefeated through District play, capturing the District title. After rolling through the District contest, the Ladycats marched into the playoffs capturing the Bi-District Championship - defeating the Forestburg Lady Longhorns, 56-31. The Ladycats pulled into Gainesville and pounced on the Dodd City Lady Hornets, capturing the Area Championship decisively with a 37-28 defensive victory. The Newcastle team is poised to head into Regional playoffs, making a run at a back-to-back state championships. Fight on, Ladycats!

One Newcastle Bobcat and two Ladycat Varsity Basketball players celebrated Senior Night. Before each respective game, the Seniors were proudly escorted onto the court in front of hometown friends, fans and family as their accomplishments for the past four years were read out over the loudspeaker.

The Newcastle Youth Basketball board works hard each season to make sure the little players begin learning important skills early in life, and lots of fun and memories are made along the way as well.
