At the time of my writing, we, like many across the U.S., are bracing for unusually frigid weather. Texas children have been known to play outside on Christmas day in shorts and t-shirts. This year, none of the women I know were really able to get any wear out of their cute Christmas sweaters--It was 80 degrees for much of the Christmas season in our part of the state.
“Go to the exiles, to the sons of your people, and speak to them and tell them, whether they listen or not, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD.”
I remember the day when Chad and I stopped somewhere in Arkansas on our way home from our wedding. We had been married in my little hometown in Texas and were driving to Nashville to start our life together. I couldn’t seem to stay awake in the car. Chad drove almost a thousand miles while I slept soundly in the seat next to him, perfectly content for him to carry me home after a whirlwind week of wedding craziness and a two night honeymoon.
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
