Dinner is always, or mostly, more than just food on a plate. It’s a time for the family to gather around, break bread and discuss the day’s activities. There may be the occasional Dad joke or heated debate on what is going on in the news.
Attention: 4-H Steer Exhibitors
4-H and FFA members who plan to exhibit a steer in the Young County Junior Livestock Show or any of the major livestock shows in Texas must take part in the steer validation process. Validation will take place on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 4:00p.m. at Young County Arena. There is a state validation fee of $20.00 for each steer in addition to the Young County Junior Livestock Show entry fee of $25 for each animal.
Bosom Buddies: Maddox & Larry
Meet Maddox Johnson, son of Jeremy and Amy Johnson, pictured above with his little buddy Larry, a cockatiel who is quite a character. Larry is very protective of his friend Maddox and enjoys sitting on his shoulder. Maddox says he has been trying to teach Larry words and has succeeded in one word so far. Maddox confesses the word is a bit blurry though.
DEVOTIONAL
The Lord’s divine benevolence has reached down from heaven touching all of His creation. Even though man has sinned against Him, The Lord, clothed with infinite love, displays to him His glory. He allows the sun to rise each morning as the dew from heaven glistens upon the grass. He decorates the night with the stars while the moon shines forth the glory of the sun, demonstrating power unequalled to all humanity. The heavens are telling the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. Day to day The Lord pours forth His speech in all He has created, and night after night He reveals His knowledge to the hearts of those who seek Him.
