The Olney City Council held a regular meeting on Monday, April 12 at 6 p.m. The meeting began administering the oath of office for the city secretary, followed by discussing the lease of Brazos Truck and Auto Building on 302 E Elm St, to Air Tractor. This was discussed during the special called meeting on April 6, but no decision was made as Mr. Welch was requested to provide details before moving forward.
When both my kids were younger (around 7 and 8 years old) they were obsessed with video games. But there was no one to blame besides myself, right? I mean heck, I’m the one that bought them the games and console. Around this time is when I started to reap the consequences of giving in to the “technology tantrums.” You know, when your child throws a fit until you finally hand over your phone in hopes of getting them to be quiet?
This past week was Easter Sunday, a time when we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is always such a great reminder that Jesus died for our sins, but also rose from the grave three days later!
Today, Christian, is a day of rejoicing. For if you be in Christ you are a new creation and God has made it so. It is true, all things have passed away and behold the new has come. He himself, with great love, plucked you from the fiery brands of His fury and clothed you in garments of love and His own righteousness. He has loved you with an everlasting love that dates back before the beginning of time, just as it is written, “For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.” And again, He says concerning His love for us, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
