How wonderful it would be for every believer to come to an understanding that The Lord’s promises will always come true. The scriptures tell us in the first chapter of Titus, that God, Who is eternal, cannot lie. Saints of God let us come to a place of maturity resting upon the assurance of God’s living word, for that which is written in sacred scripture will be fulfilled. Micah was a prophet of God who was sent to call the nation of Israel back to repentance. God’s terrifying judgment was kindling on the nation like a violent storm brewing in the far distance. The people of God had hardened their hearts to His perfect law and would soon reap the harvest of their own sinful actions.
Love Like There’s No Tomorrow

The other day a friend put a reminder on Facebook that it’s only six months until Christmas! I love Christmas, even in the middle of July. But I tend to over-do it a bit on the Christmas decorations. Okay, so there was a tree in every room of our house this year, and it was glorious. But, dang. Every year when it’s time to un-decorate, I swear on all that is good and right that I will never, ever, over-decorate for Christmas again.
Publisher’s Points to Ponder Freedom for Me...

As we were preparing for the Independence Day celebration, someone asked me to articulate the meaning of freedom for an African-American woman in the United States. While celebrating the independence of America, my countenance sank when pondering the exclusion of equality for Africans or “those from a distant land.” Even though we have progressed in our thinking about our “inalienable rights,” many Americans are still in denial about what freedom means for all people and how the lack of freedom violates our pursuit of the American dream. I am not angry, I am sad.
