Do you remember those ‘glorious’ days of shopping? I do. I am remembering the fun of taking the day to shop, eat, and maybe go to a movie. It might have been a family day out, or just girls out to “shop ’til we dropped.”

It’s November, and with Thanksgiving around the corner, students at Olney High School are reflecting on what they’re thankful for and what the upcoming holiday represents to them.
The Olney Junior High School One Act Play troupe studied hard and learned their lines for this year’s One Act Play competition - and their hard work paid off with a first-place district win last week in Archer City. The troupe chose “One Stoplight Town” as their play this season.
Local nonprofits, churches and businesses have stepped in to meet what some described as a noticeable rise in food insecurity among area families— prompting a larger-than-usual effort to ensure no one goes without a holiday meal.
The Sixth Annual Turkey Trot was a complete success this year due to the hard work of many volunteers, The Refuge, Olney Police Department, donors to the raffle, and participants.
