Dale Lovett retired in May after spending 30 years in classrooms in Graham and Olney and having experienced the joy of seeing some of his students return to teach in their hometown school. In addition to chairing the Olney Hamilton Hospital board of directors, Dale was a board member for the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE). The Enterprise asked him to reflect on how education has changed during his tenure, and how it can improve.
Olney High School 2022 graduate Sarah Stroud pushed herself hard the past four years in athletics, academia and community service. Stroud’s hard work paid off when Utah State University recognized her achievements and presented her with a full fouryear scholarship.
Olney Independent School District’s newest agriculture teachers held a meet and greet on June 6 to introduce themselves to parents. The two new teachers Mr. Brady Reid and Ms. Alexandria Rowe, will take over the Ag department among other teaching duties at the beginning of the 2022-23 school year.
