The Refuge Christian Community Center celebrated its 10th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 11, with a day full of joy, family fun, and heartfelt gratitude from those who have witnessed its impact on Olney and the surrounding communities.
A Graham man was sentenced last week to 55 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple child pornography charges, the Olney Police Department said in a statement.

The Olney Cubs gave their fans a homecoming to remember Friday night, steamrolling the Crosbyton Chiefs 33-0 for their second straight win. After a shaky start under a new head coach and offensive system, the Cubs have found their rhythm—first edging out rival Chico in a bruising 37-30 battle, then unleashing a dominant shutout that had the hometown crowd roaring with pride.
A severe storm with supercell characteristics struck Olney on Sept. 21 around 4:30 p.m., leaving a wide trail of destruction from Main Street southward and cutting power to parts of town for more than an hour. Officials are still awaiting word from the National Weather Service on whether the storm produced a tornado.
