The Young County Republicans discussed the Texas GOP convention in July at the Aug. 11 meeting, with the GOP voting to make former House of Representative Allen West, the new GOP chairman.

Karen and Michael Lisle recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at their home in Lake Dallas. Hosted by their children, a private luncheon was attended by their children and grandchildren.

“God provided and we were extremely blessed with everyone we worked with for the feeding program, including the bus drivers and Rolling Plains; we were building relationships with them which is really great overall.
