Graham Concert Association Presents Jack Ingram

Graham Concert Association Presents Jack Ingram

The Graham Concert Association (GCA) hosted their second concert of the season Oct. 26 at Graham Memorial Auditorium. GCA had initially booked Nashville-based singer/ songwriter Sean McConnell, but due to a last-minute schedule change by McConnell’s management team, the board opted to book Texas troubadour Jack Ingram as a replacement performer. GCA board member Brendan Weatherman entertained the audience for 30 minutes while waiting for Ingram to arrive at the auditorium.

A Wicked Weekend

A Wicked Weekend

Lucretia Taylor and her daughter Hannah invited me to attend the popular Broadway Show “Wicked” that premiered at Fair Park in Dallas. I was not aware that I could get the full “New York” experience just 90 minutes from home.

Blood Drive at Hamilton Hospital

Blood Drive at Hamilton Hospital

Craig Mahler gave the gift of life at the Carter Blood Drive hosted by the Olney Hamilton Hospital[OHH]. Dale Lovett, who sits on the OHH board said, “We had 39 donors attending the drive, which resulted in 28 whole blood units and 14 double red, which equates to 42 units.” Considering each unit donated helps around three lives, we touched over a hundred lives with our drive. We have a tentative date in November for our next drive and will publicize when it is confirmed. Photo by Will Sadler
