When my husband and I met, I was going through a rough patch in my life. I was shy and my life was chaos and yet, my husband’s family welcomed me and my children with love and warmth as part of their family. In the past I tended to be emotionally distant with people because of things that happened while I was younger; I would get close to someone, and for some reason or another, they would either leave or hurt me. My in-laws and I have had our ups and downs throughout the past five years, but they never gave up hope or their faith in the restoration of what was broken.

Since I was just six years old, I have always loved playing video games. This is something that many people do not know about me, other than the people that I am the closest to. I remember getting a Playstation 2 for my birthday when I was just six years old, and I have played ever since. The other day, I played a video game that I hadn’t played since 2008 when I was only 11 years old. You know how you can listen to an old song and think of your life back when you first heard that song? That’s how I felt the other day playing this game, the memories flooded back to me!
