Tiger Woods
One of the most polarizing athletes of all time--Tiger Woods, was recently in a horrific car accident that left him with two broken legs and a shattered ankle. It was such devastating news to the sports world and the golf world.

In honor of National Women’s History Month, I wanted to talk about Ruth; and I don’t mean Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I’m talking about Ruth, the loyal and faithful daughter-in-law of Naomi, from the Bible’s book of Ruth.
As we begin March--one of my favorite months of the year, a few things come to mind as we head into another spring.
I think most, but not all, will agree life was much simpler as a child or teenager. I believe this is so because there was less. Less of everything. Certainly, less things to worry about, less problems and less stuff to take care of. For example, let’s take having a car. There’s the insurance, oil changes, repairs, new tires, washer fluid, washing the car and of course driving the car with all its worries. That’s if everything goes right, I won’t go into if you get into a wreck.
From Feb. 12-18, I had the opportunity to stay in our hospital. Although it wasn’t under good circumstances (no hospital stay usually is), I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Not long after my admittance (before receiving morphine) there was a point when I believed my pain was insufferable and I was in misery. Wishing for the pain and discomfort to stop, I was begging silently for death. Nothing is more draining than despair. But similar to a lighted candle in a dark room, Dr. Johnson and the nursing staff gave me hope when I thought it all hopeless.
