Still Growing

On our 21st wedding anniversary, we drove to a neighboring town with all three kids and ate Chick fil A in our car. There were no dressed up fancy dinners or trips to new and fun places. We refereed squabbles between the kids while we ate our (rather unsatisfying) grilled chicken nuggets and drank our diet Cokes. We have reached an age where even God’s own chicken must be consumed in its inferior grilled state. We are growing older, no question. Anyone with eyes can see that. But, there’s a better measure of our years together than whether we’re growing older: are we growing?

Olney Community Library is open but something is missing….YOU! Our full staff is back at the library and we are excited to be open with full hours beginning August 3 – Monday through Friday - 9 am to 6:30 pm.

OVFD Grateful for Jaws of Life

Almost eight months ago the Olney Volunteer Fire Department (OVFD) accepted a grant from Perry’s Foundation to purchase a $26,000 piece of equipment called Jaws of Life®; used to rescue people from automobiles after an accident. The Travis Edwards Foundation awarded a grant to assist with the purchase, and Tower Extrusions contributed funds also.
