Science Show Enchants Kids at Olney Library

The Olney Community Library and Art Center [OCLAC] has been keeping little ones busy this summer with plenty of fun activities, including the Daniel G. Benes Science Shows. Mr. Benes, a member of the Science Teachers Association of Texas and the World Association of Technology Teachers, travels all over Texas teaching children about science and how science can be fun.

The show is part magic, part science, and part entertainment, said Mr. Benes, who demonstrates chemistry, physics, high-voltage electricity, lasers, and UV light.

The show relies on sponsorship from local businesses in the areas where Mr. Benes performs his shows. Mr. Benes said his shows are provided free of charge to the libraries.
