Meet Stormie Rudloff:

Stormie Rudloff took over as activities director at the Olney-Young County Senior Cub Center last year after Candy Blair stepped down from the post. The Enterprise visited with Stormie recently to talk about her plans for 2026.

Q: Tell us about yourself - where did you grow up?

A: I have lived all over Texas, so it’s kind of hard for me to say that I grew up in any one place. But a fun fact about me is that I lived in Frankfurt, Germany, for a year.

Q: As the person in charge of the Senior Center’s sense of fun, what do you like to do for fun in your spare time?

A: I enjoy bowling, though I have to admit I am not very good at it. I really love sending t me on the kale, and just spending time with my family and friends. My favorite thing about the Cub Center so far is the PEOPLE! In the few months that I have worked here, I have already developed a strong bond and a sincere love for our seniors. I look forward to coming to work. It feels more like hanging out with family and friends than actual work.

Q: What are some of the activities you have planned for the Senior Cub Center this year?

A: Some of the cool activities we have planned for this year include our 80s glow/dance party on March 13 at 6-9 p.m., featuring DJ Rad Dad & Photo Bombs. Storytelling with Nick Waters on April 1 at 12:15 p.m.-1:15 p.m. Prayer circle on May 7 at 6 p.m. Bingo on Mondays at 1 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Potluck Game Night on the third Thursday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Monthly birthday celebrations on the fourth Thursday, and pictures at 11:45 a.m. And we have all kinds of neat crafts scheduled throughout the year, which can be found on our website.
