

Olney FFA Banquet
On May 13, the Olney FFA held its annual banquet to showcase the achievements of its members. The evening’s ceremony began with a welcome from the Olney chapter president Natalie Del Villar, followed by an invocation by Ari Livingston.
The Green Hand Ceremony was performed by Kami Bednarz and chapter degrees was handed out by Chloe Neal. The evening progressed after a delicious meal of fajitas, by an awards ceremony performed by various Olney FFA officers. The awards were many, as this year’s Olney FFA did very well in competitions.
Highlights from the evening of awards include the Senior Chapter Conducting team who ended 2nd in district and 10th in area, the team included: Natalie Del Villar, Gatlin Guy, Ellie Hinson, Mallory Jeske, Ari Livingston and Noah Pint. The Greenhand Quiz team of Gatlin Guy, Ellie Hinson, Mallory Jeske and Brady Lisle finished 2nd in district and 8th in area. The Greenhand Skills team of Angel Alvarado, Brianna Galindo and Peyton Valdez finished 2nd in district and 9th in area. Ari Livingston finished 2nd in district and area, advancing for Job Interview. The Wildlife team made up of Kohl Bowers, Sydney Craig, Tucker Heard, Mallory Jeske and Julia Lewis finished 2nd in district.
The Land team of Angel Alvarado, Sydney Craig, Ellie Hinson and Ari Livingston finished 2nd in district and 10th in area. Julia Lewis finished 3rd in district for Extemporaneous Speaking and 2nd in district for Senior Prepared Public Speaking.
