Olney High School [OHS] student athletes traveled to Graham on April 11 to compete in the UIL Area Track Meet.
The OHS Cubs continue to bring the heat this season. The Cubs hosted the Quanah Indians.
The Olney Cubs men’s golf team (Caleb Johnson, Brady Lisle, Brason Brock, Case Gray. Ryder Lisle) secured District Champ 1st place team and advanced to the regional tournament.
Each spring, the children of Olney fill Cub Stadium to compete in the annual Lil Cub Relays.
The OHS Lady Cubs hosted a double-header with district rivals, the Windthorst Lady Trojans. The Lady Cubs fought hard but fell to the Lady Trojans in both games, 2-18 and 12-22.
Obituaries
Neva Lou McClatchy, age 97, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
On February 23rd, 2024 Jimmie William Pierce Sr. age 87 went to be with our Lord. He was reunited with his wife whom he desperately missed for the last 649 days.
Waylon Drew West, age 44, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at his home in Olney, Texas. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 p.m.
Walter “Woody” Kuykendall, age 70, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, in Edmond.
Kay Frances Madera, 82, of Wichita Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024 surrounded by loved ones.
