On April 8, North America watched as a rare total eclipse passed overhead. Olney ISD students and teachers took a break from the daily grind to ooh and ahh at the rare occurrence.

The Olney Independent School District’s Board of Trustees will see at least one and possibly three seats turn over in the upcoming May 4 election.

Olney voters will go to the polls to select four of six City Council positions with the mayor’s and three council seats up for grabs.

Each spring, the children of Olney fill Cub Stadium to compete in the annual Lil Cub Relays.

Lady Cubs fall to the Lady Trojans

The OHS Lady Cubs hosted a double-header with district rivals, the Windthorst Lady Trojans. The Lady Cubs fought hard but fell to the Lady Trojans in both games, 2-18 and 12-22.
