Giant prehistoric crocodile skull invades Seymour

The Whiteside Museum of Natural History has begun the installation process for the newest exhibit, The Science of Skulls, which will debut in two phases. Part one of the exhibit is dedicated to the natural history of the large cats North America and will open to the public on March 1st. Museum visitors will have the opportunity to view and touch skulls off some of the most famous cats in history, such as Smilodon, the saber-tooth cat second. The second phase of the project is the larger of the twopart exhibit and is focused on multiple animal groups throughout the fossil record. The beautiful thing about the Science or Skulls exhibit is having the chance tie together the relationships between modern-day animals and those that lived in Seymour more than 287 million years ago. Phase two of the exhibit will debut this summer on June 6th, 2020. For more information, check us out on Facebook and also the museum website at www. whitesidemuseum.org

Olney citizens continue to pour out their concerns about the speed limit on Highway 251. Not only does this impact residents in that area, but it also impacts the businesses surrounding Highway 251, including Cemco. A reduced speed of a minimum of 55 mph would not only help residents, but businesses and citizens who travel back and forth to work from Newcastle and Graham every single day.
