Meet City Council Candidate Danny Willingham

Meet City Council Candidate Danny Willingham

I am running for City Council because the Citizens of Olney are disappointed in a lot of things that the City has done, including the following: 1. The water treatment plant: The water plant at the lake should have been looked at and dealt with long ago. The City was fair warned several years ago, even my late grandfather warned them and James Freddie Paige, one of the top plumbers here in the area and Buddy Clayton, a city boy I knew very well, [said] it needs to be moved to another place in the area of the lake so Graham does not get our run-off every time we have a rain.

In his second Friday briefing, Olney Police Chief Dan Birbeck urged residents to get involved with law enforcement and victims’ advocacy group, reviewed city laws about animals at large and detailed arrests and calls for the second week in January.

The long-awaited first great grandchild of the Perry’s, Isabel Piegat, was born January 4, while Evelyn Altmiller, best friends with Carla Perry, share the same birthdate. Evelyn considered this day a good opportunity to call attention to their special day, and the two have continued to share gifts and laughs for the past 13 years. This recent birthday visit sparked memories of the olden days, and Evelyn continues to enjoy visits from family and friends. She is very blessed to have a son and daughter-in-law—Desley and Sherry Altmiller— who live here in Olney and are very attentive to her.
