The builder-producers of “Rural Route Revival” have been busy over the past couple of weeks: filming the Olney in America celebration, putting up the walls of their first house and permitting two others, and posting the trailer for the documentary-style streaming series about Olney on a new YouTube channel.
The U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision to strike down affirmative action admissions criteria at federally funded colleges will probably have little impact on higher education available to Olney High School’s graduating seniors, and will not affect the way the district helps kids prepare for college or trade school, OISD Superintendent Dr. Greg Roach said.
I grew up five miles outside of a small Texas town. That five-mile drive seemed like a huge part of my life for as far back as I can remember.
